A Brief Introduction to Peng Xuefeng Memorial Hall

彭雪枫纪念馆是整个公园的核心，位于公园制高点。纪念馆采用碑馆合一的建筑形式，突出了传统与现代、纪念与观光的融合。通过形体象征与寓意表达等多种手法，全面塑造了彭雪枫将军文武双全的英姿和新宿迁昂扬向上的气势。从广场拾级而上，仰视而望，愈发烘托出建筑群的宏伟、雄壮！

As the heart of the whole park, Peng Xuefeng Memorial Hall is located at the high ground. The memorial hall adopts the architectural form of a monument hall, highlighting the integration of tradition and modernity, memorial and tourism. Through a variety of techniques, such as physical symbolism and allegorical expression, it comprehensively portrays the heroic posture of General Peng Xuefeng and the upward momentum of the new Suqian. Looking up from the square, the grandeur and majesty of the complex is further enhanced!

彭雪枫纪念馆主立面正对公园主轴线，中国传统的庭院式建筑，室内空间与室外空间交融、互通，形成丰富的空间层次，院落中央矗立着彭雪枫将军塑像，成为整个建筑的中心。纪念馆总长100米，隐喻纪念彭将军诞辰100周年。主馆分为展览馆、将军馆、拂晓影院、报告厅四部分，各馆围绕中庭布置，设有环形走廊。纪念馆外墙面建筑用材主要采用白色的花岗岩石和红色花岗岩石，寓意白雪和枫叶。以彭雪枫将军名字中的“雪”和“枫”作为造型设计的立足点，着力体现雪的纯净和枫的热烈。

Peng Xuefeng Memorial Hall directly faces the main axis of the park, a traditional Chinese courtyard-style building where indoor space intermingles and interoperates with outdoor space, forming dimensional levels. A statue of General Peng Xuefeng stands in the centre of the courtyard, becoming the core of the whole building. The total length of the memorial hall is 100 metres, metaphorically commemorating the 100th anniversary of General Peng’s birth. The main hall is divided into four parts: the Exhibition Hall, the General Hall, the Dawn Drama Troupe and the Lecture Hall, each of which is arranged around an atrium with a circular corridor. The materials used for the exterior walls of the Memorial Hall are mainly white granite and red granite, signifying white snow and maple leaves. The design is based on Chinese characters “snow” (for Xue) and “maple” (for Feng) in General Peng Xuefeng's name, and focuses on reflecting the purity of snow and the warmth of maple.

纪念塔高70米，大台阶宽37米，隐喻彭雪枫将军光辉的一生。纪念塔外墙用白色花岗岩和透明玻璃构筑而成。纪念塔造型设计理念来源于彭雪枫将军为骑兵团亲自设计的一把锋利宝剑，被人们称颂为“雪枫刀”。巍巍纪念塔充分彰显了彭雪枫将军领导的抗战队伍英勇杀敌、不怕牺牲的精神。

The memorial tower is 70 metres high and the large steps are 37 metres wide, a metaphor for the glorious life of General Peng Xuefeng. The outer wall of the memorial tower is constructed of white granite and transparent glass. The design concept of the tower is based on a sharp sword designed by General Peng Xuefeng for his cavalry regiment, which is known as the “Xuefeng Sword”. The tower fully demonstrates the spirit of heroism and sacrifice of the anti-war team led by General Peng Xuefeng.
