Dawn Drama Troupe

拂晓剧团是彭雪枫将军的“三件宝”之一，组建于1938年5月。在长期艰苦卓越的战斗环境中，拂晓剧团创作编排了大量深受新四军战士和广大群众喜爱的曲艺节目，宣传报道了抗日军民英勇杀敌的事迹和我党的各项政策，同时丰富了革命根据地群众的文化生活。有利地促进了军民的团结和联系，增强了战斗力。

The Dawn Drama Troupe was one of General Peng Xuefeng’s “three treasures” and was formed in May, 1938. In the long and difficult combat environment, the Dawn Troupe created and choreographed a large number of music and art programmes which were popular among the soldiers of the New Fourth Army and the general public. The troupe not only reported the heroic deeds of the anti-Japanese soldiers and civilians as well as the policies of our Party, but also enriched the cultural life of the masses in the revolutionary base area. It helped to promote the unity and contact between the army and the people and strengthened the local fighting force.
